Right now I am finishing reading another great book based on polygamy called "What Peace There May Be", by Susanna Barlow. I find these books help me understand the trauma and human side to polygamy life.Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11244425245737901684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25267270.post-18422409375534119672008-05-15T23:19:00.000-07:002008-05-15T23:19:00.000-07:00Yay for Tristi! Tristi's handling of such a sensitive issue is so well done that you can't help but feel for Sarah, Ben, and Mary Ann as they go through all of this together. And it's also important to note that polygamy is not the focus of the book; it's only a part of the story. By the time this issue comes to light, the reader already has so much invested in these characters; she already loves them and wants them to succeed, so being able to understand that they were led by their faith and obedience to the Lord is not difficult.

I would definitely recommend this book to lovers of historical fiction, no matter what religion they practice.

CherylCherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03470069911115912344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25267270.post-76292014085191744552008-05-12T17:06:00.000-07:002008-05-12T17:06:00.000-07:00Excellent interview. :) I'm definitely like Tristi...Excellent interview. :) I'm definitely like Tristi - I sit down at the computer and find them on a chart later. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
