Things Mom Would Never Say

"How on earth can you see the TV from way back there?"

"Yeah, I used to skip school a lot too."

"Just leave all the lights on, it makes the house look more cheery!"

"Let me smell that shirt...yeah, it's good for another week."

"Go ahead and keep that stray dog, honey, I'll be glad to feed and walk him everyday."

"Well, if timmy's mom says it's okay that's good enough for me."

"the curfew is just a general time to shoot for. It's not like I'm trying to run a prison or something."

"I don't have a tissue, just use your sleeve."

"Don't bother wearing a jacket, the wind chill is bound to improve."

And, last but not least (and the only one I can take credit for.)

"Anything you want honey, I only care about your instant gratification."

Happy Mother's day, I hope it was a good one.

I must admit, I've told my kids to just use their sleeve on more than one occasion.

I'll just hand over my motherhood card now.

Happy Mother's Day! :)

How sad that I've actually said some of those.

My children have heard most of my "skipping school/ cutting class" stories and how I eventually got caught-by the innocent remark of a new missionary to his ward mission leader (my dad) "Oh yeah, I already met your daughter!" Sigh. A lot of my teenage years can be characterized as a cautionary tale...

I was just telling my husband how much I love having to smell the boys clothes to make sure they're dirty and not just thrown from the clean pile to the dirty one. Of course, the paired socks are a dead giveaway.
Fun list, Josi!

How about,...I love the way you can carry on a conversation with so much food in your mouth. Way to multitask!
